As part of learning about Easter we did some Easter baking with Mrs Mainland.
We have been flying kites at school. We used what we noticed about the kites to help us design our own. We then tested them and modified them to make them fly better.
We have been learning about Easter. We made Easter egg shaped baskets using yarn dipped in PVA glue wrapped around a balloon. It was really interesting when we popped the balloons as the glue held it together so it deflated really slowly.

We have been exploring what lives in and around our pond.

We were so excited when we saw the amazing pattern in our fozen pond. We decided to find out what caused it so we sent the photos to Mr Vetterlein who informed us it could be caused by bubbles or a drop in the water level causing the ice to drop due to the lack of support from the water.
Mr Vetterlein very kindly let us use his telescope to look at the moon.
We loved the Invisible Fiends series of books so much we thought we'd see if Barry Hutchison's new book is as good. It's sounding good so far!
