This term we are learning about Scotland within Europe.  We have been learning about Orkney, including the island names and where they came from, the countries which make up the UK and the countries of Europe.

 

 

Annabella and James' mum very kindly brought in their new chicks for us to see.  She told us about what breed they are, what they eat and how they hatch.

 

We have been studying our plants in the polytunnel to see where the fruit grows from.  We now know that sweetcorn grows out from the side of the stalk and peppers, chillis and cucumber grow from the flowers.
