We were so excited when we saw the amazing pattern in our fozen pond.  We decided to find out what caused it so we sent the photos to Mr Vetterlein who informed us it could be caused by bubbles or a drop in the water level causing the ice to drop due to the lack of support from the water.

Mr Vetterlein very kindly let us use his telescope to look at the moon.

We loved the Invisible Fiends series of books so much we thought we'd see if Barry Hutchison's new book is as good.  It's sounding good so far!

Our new project is Earth and Space so we let Miss Moodie know what we know already and what we would really like to find out.

We have been learning lots about fractions.  We can now compare and order fractions, find equivalent fractions and convert improper fractions to mixed numbers.

Active Schools circuits.

Now that we know a new technique we can add huge numbers!

We had a visitor from the RSPB on 13th December.  We made bird cake to feed the birds during winter and we had a look at the school pond and discussed how we could make it more attractive for wild life.
